Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

I hope this letter finds you well and that you have all enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating summer. As the principal of Happy Camp High School, it is my pleasure to welcome you back for the 2024/2025 school year! We are excited to open our doors once again to a year filled with learning, growth, and new opportunities. Our staff has been working diligently to prepare for the return of our students, and we are all eager to see the vibrant energy of our school community come to life once again.

As we gear up for the first day of school on Friday, August 16, 2024, we want to share some important details and updates to ensure a smooth and enjoyable start. I want to bring to your attention an important matter that significantly impacts our school: the completion of the Income Verification Form. This form is critical because it directly affects the amount of federal and state funding our school receives.

Family To-Do List:

  • School Enrollment: If you have changes to your school enrollment, such as mailing address or emergency contact numbers, please complete the Data Confirmation Process in your Aeries Parent Portal. Data Confirmation will open the week of August 19th.

  • Aeries/Email Communication: We regularly send our newsletter and other important information to parents. Please make sure to check these for important dates.

  • Aeries Portal: Parents can register for online access to your student’s grades, class assignments, and attendance records through the Aeries portal on our website. Incoming Freshman and new students will receive an email with instructions to set up your account.

  • Income Verification Forms: These are included in the packet being sent home. Completion of these forms will provide additional and substantial funding to our school. If they are not completed, we will lose this additional funding for our students.

  • Chromebook Agreement Forms: These are included in the packet being sent home. Agreement forms must be signed by both parents and students before receiving a chromebook on the first day of school. The $10 insurance is optional, but highly recommended.

  • Fall Athletic Programs: Volleyball, football, cheer, soccer, and cross-country practice has begun. A reminder that all athletes must have their physicals, proof of medical insurance, and the online Athletic Paperwork completed and turned into the office before practice. Contact the office for start dates and times.

Let’s make this year exceptional! We’re looking forward to an incredible year filled with learning, growth, and community spirit.

Warm regards,

Alfonso Garagarza
